    On the 30th January 2023 we held our first in-person Let's Talk event at Brentwood Hotel, Rotherham. Our first event discussed diabetes and was attended by 20 people.

    Our second in-person Let's Talk event took place at Silverwood Miners Welfare Resource Centre to a group of 35 attendees from the Military Community Veterans Centre (MCVC).
    The topic chosen by the group was Dementia.

    On Thursday 9th February 2023 a member of staff and a volunteer from Healthwatch Rotherham attended an announced visit of Athorpe Lodge. We spoke to staff, residents, family and friends and you can view the results of our inspection below

    Our second 'Enter and View' inspection took place at Ashton Court Care Home on Friday 24th March 2023. We would like to thank Ashton Court for allowing us into their care home and letting us complete the inspection.

    Our former volunteer, Anointed Riches, has recently been awarded the Chevening Gold Award at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office for volunteering 100 hours with Healthwatch whilst studying at University in Sheffield.

    Our June 'Let's Talk' took place in a sunny Clifton Park, with 20 attendees from the Rotherham Yemini and Kashmiri Group learning about diabetes, in-line with National Diabetes Week.

    Rotherham Council is seeking to update its adult social care priorities for the borough. To achieve the best outcomes for people, they recognise the importance of putting the person at the heart of everything they do.

    We were back again at the Rotherham Show with Citizens Advice on the 2nd and 3rd September in glorious sunshine. We spoke to so many of you, handed out surveys, listened to your experiences and made sure you knew how to contact us if needed.

    On Wednesday 15th November, Healthwatch Rotherham and Rehana Hussain from the RDASH Long Covid Team, spoke to 20 people at the Unity Centre about Long Covid. The session was split into two 10 minute sessions (men and women) and was given in Urdu.
