Hearing the voices of Unpaid Carers in Rotherham

On Wednesday 15th November, Healthwatch Rotherham and Rehana Hussain from the RDASH Long Covid Team, spoke to 20 people at the Unity Centre about Long Covid. The session was split into two 10 minute sessions (men and women) and was given in Urdu.

In October 2023, we spoke to 35 people about their experiences and feedback on health and social care services in Rotherham. This was through a combination of in-person engagement and enquiries. You can find their feedback below:

On Monday 9th October, Healthwatch Rotherham organised an event with Hellaby Craft Club to discuss self-care in extreme weathers and our ever-changing climate. Our guest speaker for this event was Kym Gleeson, a wellbeing co-ordinator with Age UK

Our Community Engagement Officer Andrea has been out in the community again this month gathering feedback from residents on health and social care services. All feedback will be shared with services to improve the patient experience

In August, we spoke to 52 people about their experiences with Health and Social Care services in Rotherham. We have broken down the feedback we have received into services and common themes. All feedback will be shared with the services mentioned.

We were back again at the Rotherham Show with Citizens Advice on the 2nd and 3rd September in glorious sunshine. We spoke to so many of you, handed out surveys, listened to your experiences and made sure you knew how to contact us if needed.

On Friday 7th July at Springwell Gardens Community Centre in Rotherham, Healthwatch Rotherham attended an engagement session with 25 members of the Rotherham deaf futures community group
