Over the last 8 months we have been strengthening our relationships with homeless support services in Rotherham and have been speaking to those using the services to find out more about their experiences of healthcare.

Andrea and Nicola have been out and about in the community during January gathering feedback from local people about their experiences with health and social care services in Rotherham.

Here are their key spotlight shares for this month.

During January 2025, we spoke to 78 people about their experiences of health and social care services in Rotherham. This was through a combination of in-person engagement and enquiries. You can see the feedback we heard below:

On Tuesday 21st January 2025, we were back at Dearne Valley College for their Health & Wellbeing event.

On Thursday 16th January 2025, we held a Let’s talk about Oral health at The Willows School.

Leiann Musgrave, the Oral Health Improvement Lead for Rotherham Children’s Public Health Nursing Service, led the small group session with 7 students at the school and talked about the best way to look after your teeth.

All employees, Board members and volunteers associated with Healthwatch Rotherham have a responsibility to put the interests of the organisation before their own personal pursuits. The aim of this policy is to protect both the organisation and the individuals concerned from any appearance of impropriety.

Following on from the success of our 'In conversation with...' talk on Menopause, Andrea visited S62 Community Together Rotherham on 16th January 2025 to deliver another talk on the subject.

Our Strategic Advisory Board meets every month to steer the strategic direction of Healthwatch Rotherham, ensuring that our vision, aims and values are upheld. The Strategic Advisory Board helps to deliver an effective Healthwatch service in line with current legislation.
