Prior to Coronavirus the hospital discharge process was long and drawn out. Hospitals needed to free up beds during the pandemic and the government released new guidelines to streamline the discharge process

Healthwatch England in partnership with the Care Quality Commission launched a new campaign in July 2020 #BecauseWeAllCare.
The first part of the campaign looked at the discharge from hospital process and how it had changed. A national survey was undertaken and here we present the Rotherham results alongside some powerful case studies from local residents.
