On Friday 7th July at Springwell Gardens Community Centre in Rotherham, Healthwatch Rotherham attended an engagement session with 25 members of the Rotherham deaf futures community group

Our Community Engagement Officer Andrea has been out in the community again this month speaking with people and hearing their views/experiences on Health and Social care services in Rotherham. All feedback is given to the mentioned services

In July 2023 we spoke to 106 people about their experiences of health and social care in Rotherham. This was done through in-person engagement at services and events and through our enquiries. You can read a summary of what we heard below

Healthwatch Rotherham are working with the Rotherham Crisis Team Service to gather feedback from those who have accessed the service themselves/on behalf of someone else, and wish to share their experiences, good or bad. All feedback is anonymous.

Rotherham Council is seeking to update its adult social care priorities for the borough. To achieve the best outcomes for people, they recognise the importance of putting the person at the heart of everything they do.

In May 2023, we decided to ask a handful of people about their experiences with hospital appointment wait times in Rotherham. We decided to just do a small overview of the situation initially, before following up with a larger sample report in 2024

On the 29th June, Healthwatch Rotherham and Shiloh embarked on a unique 'Let's Talk' event with 5 attendees on a barge at Swinton Lock. The event covered mental health and 5 ways to wellbeing.

Our 2022-2023 Annual Report has now been published and is ready to download and read. We would like to thank everybody who has contributed to this report and taken the time to read it. We look forward to another great year.

Our June 'Let's Talk' took place in a sunny Clifton Park, with 20 attendees from the Rotherham Yemini and Kashmiri Group learning about diabetes, in-line with National Diabetes Week.
