The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on services tackling obesity and loneliness in Rotherham

Loneliness and obesity are two major public health issues influencing the residents in Rotherham, both have an impact on the mental health of the affected individuals, which has been particularly highlighted during the Covid-19 pandemic.

During November/December 2020 Healthwatch Rotherham were joined by Simon Kluska and Jayati Hine two 3rd year medical students from the University of Sheffield Medical School as part of their community placement. Simon and Jay spoke to local services about how they had adapted their services during the pandemic and what impact this had on their clients.
