Independence Fest

On Thursday 21st March 2024, Healthwatch Rotherham attended Landmarks College 'Independence Fest' at Renishaw Community Centre!

We were able to talk to lots of young people and staff throughout the day about who Healthwatch is and what we do.

We had some interesting conversations, ranging from 'the NHS is doing great' to hearing about a wait of over 2 years for dental work.

As part of our stand, we invited everyone to tell us how they were feeling that day, by either drawing an emoji or writing one word on a post it note, to put up on our board.

People were keen to take part and the overwhelmingly popular word/emoji of the day was 'happy'!

We hope to catch up with some of the young people in the next few months as we start our new project on understanding the healthcare experiences of those with learning disabilities and autism.

Happy face made out of post its
