Healthwatch Rotherham and Rotherham Sight & Sound Collaboration

On 23 September, our team joined Rotherham Sight & Sound’s coffee morning for people with sight loss. Over the past few months, we’ve co-produced a new communication card to help people clearly share their access needs at healthcare appointments, drawing on the Accessible Information Standard to remove barriers and ensure everyone can access quality care.
Attendees were thrilled with the final design and eager to start using the cards at their upcoming appointments. This initiative supports the more than two million people living with sight loss in the UK, making healthcare more accessible and person-centred
A huge thank you to everyone at Rotherham Sight & Sound for their collaboration and invaluable feedback.
