Our You said, we did' report for May 2025 is now available.

This month we were contacted by 60 people who either shared their experiences of health and social care services, or asked for information and signposting help. Our report highlights some of the things we heard and some of the actions we have taken, as well as some of the feedback given to us.

Our Strategic Advisory Board meets every month to steer the strategic direction of Healthwatch Rotherham, ensuring that our vision, aims and values are upheld. The Strategic Advisory Board helps to deliver an effective Healthwatch service in line with current legislation.

On Tuesday 13th May 2025, our Community Engagement & Projects Officer Andrea, travelled to Landmarks Specialist College in Rotherham to deliver a Let’s Talk on personal hygiene. She was joined by Leiann Musgrave, Oral Health Improvement Lead from Rotherham Children’s Public Health Nursing service.

This month we are launching our new 'You said, we did' report! Combining our previous monthly publications 'What we heard' and 'Spotlight shares', our new report provides a monthly update to you and to services.

On Monday 7th April 2025, our Community Engagement and Projects officer Andrea attended a Flourish session at Shiloh, which is a safe space event for women who are homeless, in temporary accommodation, or at risk of becoming homeless.

During March 2025, we spoke to 101 people about their experiences of health and social care services in Rotherham. This was through a combination of in-person engagement and enquiries. You can see the feedback we heard below:

Between April 2024 and March 2025, we have attended 12 student events, engaging with 445 young people across Rotherham to find out what matters to them, what challenges they face and to identify what services can do to help support them with their wellbeing.

On Monday 10th March, Gary Barnes from Rotherham Healthwave joined the Parkinson’s support group to talk to them all about healthy eating and lifestyles. The group was well attended and Gary was able to speak to 34 people about Rotherham Healthwave and the services they provide.
