Proposed Budget Cuts
Healthwatch England and Local Healthwatch were formed as a result of the Health and Social Care Act 2012, as as a recommendation from the Francis Report which highlighted the findings from the Mid Staffordshire Trust Public Inquiry, where hundreds of patients died needlessly due to sub-standard care and staff failings. Each Local Authority has a Healthwatch and we are the independent local champion for all residents who use health and social care services, we provide a voice for your community and help to shape future services, whilst keeping a watchful eye on the services currently being provided.
